Meet the next evolution of our best-selling women’s Merino wool base layer bottoms: the Aspect High Rise.

Designed by popular request, and in close collaboration with our female athletes, we enhanced the fit and improved the fabric to create the most versatile, comfortable Merino wool leggings ever.

Ideal for activity on the hill and off, these bottoms are ready for intense adventure and maximum chill for days on end.

The high waist stays up while hiking and eliminates the chance of any chafing between a backpack waist strap and the top of the base layer bottoms. These bottoms were a game changer for me."

Developed to keep you out there all season long, the Aspect wool leggings feature a sleek, high-waist that provides incredible comfort, coverage and control. The flattering design contours to your body and stays put during any activity, so you can worry less about readjusting and focus more on tackling your next challenge.

To complement the new fit, we custom-developed a new Merino wool fabric that is super-soft, durable and has great recovery to retain its shape. Merino wool next-to-body provides all the moisture-wicking, odor-fighting, breathability and temp-regulating benefits that occur naturally with this miracle fiber.

When wearing during apres activities, note that some of the lighter colors are a bit sheer, so we recommend a longer top or casual dress for more coverage to minimize the "see through" factor.

Grab a pair (or two) of these midweight wool base layers today. Shop now.

The Ridge Merino base layer bottoms are comprised of (m)Force Merino 240g/m, 80 percent Merino wool, 14% Nylon, 6% Spandex. This provides class-leading durability: 50 percent stronger than comparable weights of Merino fabrics. Photo: Sammy Deleo

a quote from pro skier Amie Engerbretson: "I love the cozy fit and feel of the Aspect bottom. The high rise fit is perfect for layering, warmth and adventure. The thickness keeps me nice and warm and the Merino fabric maintains breathability and soft comfort."
