Ridge Merino Supports Climb Against the Odds

This year, Ridge Merino is proud to support Breast Cancer Prevention Partners’ Climb Against the Odds. 

Every year, Breast Cancer Prevention Partners hosts a mountaineering expedition to summit Mt. Shasta’s 14,179 foot peak. Climbers range from novice to expert, and they work together collectively on this project to raise awareness and funds to prevent breast cancer. The climb will take three days to complete. 

Over the years, nearly 400 climbers have ascended 185,000 vertical feet and raised more than $4.5 million for breast cancer prevention. This year’s climbers all received our Aspect Merino wool base layers to keep them comfortable as they trek to the top.

Founded in 1992, Breast Cancer Prevention Partners is one of the nation’s leading nonprofits dedicated to the prevention of breast cancer. The organization works with a wide variety of partners and has hosted climbs like this one since 1995.
