Every business impacts the planet. Since we opened our doors in 2014, we’ve been committed to finding ways to minimize and offset our impact. As members of 1% for the Planet since day one, we’ve been giving a portion of every sale to environmental nonprofits. And as we’ve grown, we’ve expanded our impact through new partnerships.
Our newest initiative to give back is joining The Conservation Alliance. We were immediately drawn to this organization’s mission: to harness the collective power of business and outdoor communities to fund and advocate for the protection of North America’s natural places.

About The Conservation Alliance
The Conservation Alliance (TCA) is the leading business coalition for conservation with nearly 200 members, ranging from the biggest brands in the outdoor industry to small freelance businesses.
Investing in TCA doesn’t just help protect the resources businesses like ours depend on. It also strengthens the outdoor economy and ensures recreational access continues.
Founded in 1989 by Kelty, Patagonia, REI and The North Face, The Conservation Alliance set out to increase outdoor industry support for conservation efforts. The best outdoor gear is dreamed up, designed and tested in the wild, and conservation of these places that we all love is non-negotiable.
From those four founding members coming together to award a $40,000 grant, the organization has grown to 190+ members supporting over 300 organizations across North America through grantmaking and advocacy.
To date The Conservation Alliance has helped protect over 125 million acres of land and nearly 5,000 river miles, advocated for common-sense policies, and granted over $35 million to local groups.
TCA’s current priority campaigns include:
- Defending the Roadless Rule
- Defending D-1 lands in Alaska
- Public lands grab defense
- Defending Baaj Nwaavjo I’tah Kukveni – Ancestral Footprints of the Grand Canyon National Monument / Antiquities Act
- Protecting the Boundary Waters
- Protecting Owyhee Canyonlands (Oregon)
- Restoring the Snake River (Pacific Northwest)

Working Together to Protect Wild Places
Land conservation and advocacy are important to us as a business, but we know we have far more power when we work as part of a bigger coalition.
The Conservation Alliance is the leader in this space, so we knew becoming members and supporting TCA would have the biggest conservation impact.
