Merino Wool Shirts

All of our tees are machine washable. We recommend using cold or warm water and then hanging them up or laying them flat to dry.

Our men’s Journey shirts and Canopy shirts have a standard fit that leans athletic. The Pursuit Collection has a more slim fit. Our base layer tops have an athletic/slim fit. For our women’s tees, this page shows the various fits side by side. We have a slim fit, a standard fit and an oversized fit in our line.

Our t-shirts resist odor so well that we usually decide to wash them because they’re dirty in other ways (stains, dirt, etc.) rather than because they smell. We’ve worn them 4-6+ times with no smell, and we hear from customers often who are putting them to the test on long backpacking trips and travel with no odor issues at all.

Our super fine Merino wool fabric isn’t itchy. In fact, people frequently leave reviews saying how impressed they are that it doesn’t itch at all.

The two biggest things you’ll notice with Ridge Merino tees are the soft, cozy feel of the fabric and the odor resistance.

Synthetic fabrics usually feel slicker and more plasticky, but our tees are made with super soft Merino wool, and our Canopy shirts are even softer.

When you wear them, you’ll be amazed how well they resist odor compared to synthetics. You can wear Merino wool for longer between washes, and even if it does smell, one wash usually removes any odor.

Synthetic fibers tend to be more durable than natural fibers, so synthetic shirts tend to resist pilling and holes better than Merino. But our corespun Merino technology produces a pretty darn durable Merino garment.

Synthetics also tend to dry faster than natural fibers, but they don’t have the ability to wick moisture and regulate temperature like Merino shirts do.

We made the shirts we wanted to wear every day. Performance is key, but a versatile, go-anywhere, do-anything look and fit were really important to us too. Thanks to Merino wool, our shirts offer both form and function. Our Pursuit Collection is more technical, while our Canopy Collection is more casual for everyday wear, but you’ll find all of our shirts work in your daily rotation.

You have to try it to believe it. Once you start wearing Merino shirts, you might not want to go back to your old synthetic or cotton tees. The breathability, temperature regulation, odor resistance and moisture wicking are a big upgrade.
